Week 4 Part 1b
I have chosen to use an embedded style sheet to make the viewing of the styles easier for everyone.
For this page I am using the background-image repeat-x for my graphic. I am also experimenting with the different font properties.
For my background here I made an image in paint shop pro 7 and decided to assign it as a class so that I could use this in a span for a word or sentence or to do a whole paragraph as i am doing right now.
I'm using the background repeat-x here on this page.
To save some time with my homework I have decided to use this page to use the background-attachment:fixed. What this property does is permit the words on the page to scroll over the background that I have placed on the top of the page.
I think that I have managed to achieve all that is in the first part of our lesson this week. I am now off to get ready to achieve greatness with the second part of our assignment.
Just an added note, I am totally enjoying learning how to use style sheets. For anyone who is considering learning CSS, it is so easy to learn. There are some things that you might have a tad of difficulty with. However, once you get the hang of it, it is totally addictive.
Additional Homework Part 1 Week 4
What I am going to attempt to do here is try to center an image in a div, without it moving. Yippee!! It works. I have also decided to use a larger size font so that I can fill up this area so that the whole image shows.
I see that I still have some words to fill in here so what can I say? I can't believe it, I think that I am actually speechless!!!
I gave this div a different margin from the rest of the page to try to center it within the page more. It looks like I succeeded with this attempt.
I also need to remember to do my spell checks before posting pages. I did so on this one, but now need to go back and check my other pages.
Now all that is left on part 1 of week 4 is to validate!!
