+ Next click go to your layers window. To open it, go to windows/layers. Double click on the selected part.

+ a window will open up. Now here is the main part.

Check the boxes to apply it. And click on its name to adjust its options. Here is a brief explain of each of the effects.

Drop shadow A shadow beneath the word. It helps to create a floating word scene.

Inner shadow A shadow in the word. It doesn't show if you are using a dark colour such as black or darkble. Only when using lights colours.

Outer Glow This creates glowing text. You can change the colour of the glow by clicking on the colored box. And the size of the glow, noise (specks of dusts), opacity (The visiblity of the glow), spread etc.

Inner glow This creates a inner glow in the text. It isn't use often as the glow sometimes cover the original text color. I recommend only using on bold words.

Bevel and Emboss This creates a 3d feeling on the text. There are two other options for it. Contour and Texture.

Satin Makes the word darker.

Colour overlay It covers the original color.

Gradient Makes the word gradient. A nice color effect!

Patten overlay Cause the word's normal color become a patten fill!

Stroke It creates a outer line for the wording.
